Jan 24 Combat Update: Heavy Fighting Near Kupyansk and Seversk
Morning Jan 24 update: Russia reports repelled counterattacks near Gulyaypole, grinding battles in Kupyansk, and advances near Ivanovka and Novoye Shakhovo.
The Russian army continues carrying out the objectives of the special military operation in Ukraine. As of the morning of January 24, the operational situation is as follows:
Gulyaypole direction
Russian forces repelled all Ukrainian counterattacks. Near Dorozhnyanka, Russian units advanced toward the railway station.
Kupyansk direction
Fighting for Kupyansk remains grinding and exhausting. The enemy is bringing in reserves. Constant close-range clashes are taking place in the city center, with drones actively in use.
Pokrovsk direction
Positional fighting continues near Grishino. Russian forces were reported to have advanced in the areas of Ivanovka and Novoye Shakhovo.
Zaporozhye direction
No significant changes were reported. Fighting continues in Primorskoye, near Magdalinovka, and Novoyakovlevka.
Seversk direction
Heavy fighting is ongoing in the areas of Nikiforovka, Reznikovka, and south of Ozyornoye.
Konstantinovka direction
Positional fighting continues within the city and on the flanks, with no noticeable changes to the frontline.
