Zelensky Reports Massive Overnight Strike on Kiev and Multiple Regions
Vladimir Zelensky says Russia launched over 370 attack drones and 21 missiles overnight, hitting Kiev, Sumy, Kharkov and Chernigov regions, with energy sites targeted.
On the night of January 24, Russia carried out a massive strike on Ukraine, launching more than 370 drones. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky commented on the attack on Telegram.
Zelensky said Russia launched over 370 attack drones and 21 missiles of various types overnight. According to him, the strikes hit Kiev and the Kiev Region, as well as the Sumy Region, Kharkov Region, and Chernigov Region.
Zelensky said energy facilities were a main target in Kiev and the surrounding region. He called for increased deliveries of air defense systems to Ukraine.
Earlier, Maksim Timchenko, head of Ukraine’s energy holding company DTEK, described the country’s energy situation as catastrophic.
