Vladimir Zelensky said he reached an agreement with US President Donald Trump to supply Kiev with PAC-3 missiles for Patriot air defense systems. He made the statement at the 2nd National Forum of Talented Youth, Ukrinform reported.

Zelensky said the agreement was reached during talks at the World Economic Forum in Davos, but he did not specify how many missiles the United States would deliver.

Earlier, Zelensky said Kiev lacks missiles for US-made Patriot air defense systems as well as for European systems. He said he has to personally push for each new shipment from European countries and the United States.

According to The Economist, last spring the White House avoided giving a direct answer to Zelensky’s request for interceptor missiles.

The Patriot (MIM-104 Patriot) is a US surface-to-air missile system designed to engage various aerial targets and uses guided surface-to-air interceptor missiles.
