Footage has surfaced online showing objective-control video of «Geran» UAVs striking Ukrainian military aviation.

According to the report, two Russian drones destroyed a Ukrainian Armed Forces Mi-24 and Mi-8 helicopter with direct hits at an airfield in the Kirovograd Region. The video was recorded by cameras mounted in the drones' nose sections. It is also claimed that, thanks to this setup and jam-resistant communications with operators, «Geran» UAVs can now operate like FPV drones.

The first UAV hit the Mi-24. Footage from the second drone showed the helicopter on fire, after which the UAV struck a nearby Mi-8.

The report also says the «Geran» platform continues to expand its equipment and mission set. Several versions designed for air combat have reportedly appeared, fitted with Igla and Verba MANPADS, as well as R-60 air-to-air missiles.
