The Russian army is pressing on with its objectives in the special military operation on Ukrainian territory. As of the morning of 25 January, the situation along the main sectors of the front was reported as follows:

Kharkov sector

Russian troops are engaged in fighting east of Petropavlovka and have advanced along a broad stretch of the front. Battles for Verkhnee-Peschanoye are ongoing, and clashes continue on the approaches to Kurilovka.

Seversk sector

The fighting has shifted into the forested areas north of Reznikovka. Russian units have taken the heights south of Zakotnoye, cut a secondary road and are actively targeting the logistics of Ukrainian forces with drones.

Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) sector

Russian forces have aligned the front line along the railway near Dorozhnoye. Ukrainian troops continue to hold the routes from Sofievka to Pavlovka and are carrying out local counterattacks.

Gulyai-Polye sector

Russian troops have expanded their control zone beyond the Gaychur River, taking under control roughly 7 square kilometres between Dorozhnyanka and Gulyai-Polye. On the northern flank, Russian forces continue to push through the Ukrainian defensive lines.

Zaporozhye sector

Russian units have advanced west of Stepnogorsk. Tactical gains have also been reported in the areas of Lukyanovskoye and Pavlovka.
