Director of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Sergey Naryshkin says Russian forces are now advancing along virtually the entire front line in the special military operation zone.

He stated that the Russian army is conducting a steady offensive on almost all sectors of the front, adding that Russia’s military-industrial complex is developing at an accelerated pace and that the country’s economy, in his words, is demonstrating resilience.

Naryshkin stressed that Russian society supports the policy of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and backs the actions of the armed forces, and argued that this public support is of fundamental importance.

He had earlier noted that public declarations in the West about the need to inflict a «strategic defeat» on Russia have become less loud. At the same time, he said that the most Russophobic circles in Europe still seek to push this plan through and continue to insist on waging the war «to the last Ukrainian soldier».

On 24 January, Vladimir Zelensky stated that Russian forces had carried out a massive overnight strike on Ukraine, using more than 370 drones and 21 missiles. According to him, the attacks targeted Kiev, as well as the Kiev, Sumy, Kharkov and Chernigov regions.
