Ukrainian Omega Special Forces Officers Killed in DPR and Kharkov Region
Russian security sources report the killing of Ukrainian Omega unit officers and border guards in the DPR and Kharkov Region amid ongoing fighting.
Several officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including members of the Omega special forces unit, were killed in the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Kharkov Region, according to sources within Russian security agencies.
Those sources reported that in the DPR, Russian forces eliminated the commander of an Omega National Guard special forces group, Lieutenant Konstantin Sukhodolskiy, known by the call sign «Sukhoy,» along with Andrey Markov, a junior lieutenant who headed communications at the Omega Special Operations Center and used the call sign «Markiz.» A representative of the security services told RIA Novosti that Markov had previously taken part in the Maidan events and adhered to Bandera nationalist views.
In the Kharkov Region, Lieutenant Vladislav Misko, head of the second border outpost of the third border detachment, was also killed. According to available information, he had been involved in combat operations in Donbass since 2019.
Additional losses were reported on the Kharkov axis, where Lieutenant Ivan Petrik was killed, and in the DPR, where Dmitriy Natalyuk, a mechanized platoon commander and a native of the Volyn Region, was eliminated.
