The Russian Armed Forces are pressing their campaign across multiple sectors in the special military operation zone in Ukraine. As of the morning of 26 January, the situation was reported as follows:

Sumy axis

Russian assault units are pushing against Ukrainian defensive lines, facing fierce resistance. In Chernigov Region, strikes by Iskander-M operational-tactical missile systems destroyed hangars housing strike drones.

Kharkov axis

Heavy fighting is underway near Staritsa and Siminovka, on the Khatnoye section of the front. Ukrainian forces have re-formed assault groups and are attempting counterattacks with the support of special units of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence. Russian troops have stepped up their activity in the area of Nesteroye.

Russian units are also continuing to advance south of Petropavlovka and Verkhnee-Peschanoye. Offensive actions are being conducted near Boguslavka and Andreyevka (Borovaya).

Liman axis

Russian forces have consolidated positions in the south-eastern part of Krasny Liman and are moving towards the road to Slavyansk. Fighting is ongoing in Svyatogorsk, Aleksandrovka and for Koroviy Yar. Positions have been improved in the forested areas near Drobyshevo.

Konstantinovka axis

Russian troops are expanding their control zone around the Kleban-Byk reservoir and advancing towards Berestok. Clashes are reported in Ilinovka. In Konstantinovka, Russian units are pushing forward through low-rise residential areas.

Krasnoarmeysk axis

Heavy fighting continues for Grishino. In Udachnoye, Ukrainian forces are attempting to infiltrate in small groups. West of Kotlino, Ukrainian units have been driven out of the industrial zone. There is also reported Russian progress near Rodinskoye and in the Toretskoye area.

Gulyai-Polye axis

South of the Gaychur River, Russian forces have taken control of roughly 7 square kilometres over the past 24 hours. Russian troops are advancing towards Zheleznichnoye along the railway line. The front line has been levelled between Ivanovka and Novopavlovka.

Zaporozhye axis

Fighting continues near Lukyanovskoye for Novoboykovskoye, Novoyakovlevka and Pavlovka. Russian units are advancing from Stepovoye in the direction of Orekhov.
