Russian air defense units intercepted and destroyed 19 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles during the night of January 27.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the heaviest activity was recorded over the Kursk Region, where air defense systems eliminated nine drones. Five more UAVs were shot down over the Krasnodar Territory, while three were destroyed above the waters of the Sea of Azov. Single drones were intercepted over the Orel Region and the Belgorod Region.

Drone attacks were also reported a day earlier. On January 26, between 15:00 and 20:00 Moscow time, air defense forces destroyed ten Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles. Seven of them were intercepted over the Belgorod Region, with the remaining three downed over the territory of the Republic of Crimea.

Earlier that same day, from 11:00 to 15:00 Moscow time, Russian military personnel intercepted an additional 16 UAVs over the Belgorod Region.
