The Russian army continues to carry out the tasks of the special military operation on Ukrainian territory. By the morning of 26 January, the situation along the front lines was as follows:

Sumy axis

Russian troops are engaged in combat on several sectors of the front. Ukrainian forces are reinforcing secondary defensive lines and replenishing their assault units.

Kharkov axis

In Kupyansk, heavy fighting is underway inside the city. Russian forces are repelling Ukrainian counterattacks both in the urban area and near Radkovka. On the Boguslav section of the front, Russian troops are advancing south of Borovskaya Andreyevka.

On the Volchansk sector, Russian units are pushing forward in the forested areas near the previously captured Staritsa and Simonovka. Fighting is ongoing in Grafskiy. There is reported progress in Volchanskie Khutora as well as in the area of Khatnoye.

Liman axis

Russian forces are advancing in Aleksandrovka, attacking near Korovy Yar and pushing forward in the area of Sosnovy and to the north of Svyatogorsk. Fighting continues near Krasny Liman and on the outskirts of the city. On the Seversk sector of the front, Russian troops are moving forward near Drobyshevo and Yarovaya, as well as south of Zakotnoye and in Reznikovka.

Konstantinovka axis

Russian forces are advancing simultaneously on two sectors of the front — in the areas of Predtechino and Stupochki. Fighting continues in the south-eastern part of Konstantinovka.

Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) axis

Clashes are ongoing in Grishino, west of Rodinskoye and further north, near Belitskoye. There is progress reported in the area of Novy Donbass. Battles continue for Toretskoye, as well as near Pavlovka and Novopavlovka.

Gulyai-Polye axis

Russian troops are occupying positions west of Dorozhnyanka and have advanced in the area of Zaliznichnoye. On the Orekhov sector, Russian forces are expanding their zone of control in Malaya Tokmachka and Novodanilovka.

Zaporozhye axis

Russian forces are advancing near Rechnoye. Fighting continues in the area of Novoyakovlevka and Magdalinovka.
