Russian Troops Secure Kupyansk-Uzlovoy and Novoyakovlevka
Russian forces have taken control of Kupyansk-Uzlovoy in the Kharkov Region and Novoyakovlevka in Zaporozhye, the Defense Ministry reports.
Russian forces have taken control of the settlements of Kupyansk-Uzlovoy in the Kharkov Region and Novoyakovlevka in the Zaporozhye Region, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The ministry reported that Kupyansk-Uzlovoy came under Russian control during active offensive operations carried out by units of the «West» group of forces. In this area, Russian troops struck Ukrainian manpower and equipment belonging to several formations, including four mechanized brigades, an airmobile brigade, two assault brigades, a territorial defense brigade, and two National Guard brigades. Fighting was reported in the areas of Kovsharovka, Nechvolodovka, Novoosinovo, and Senkovo in the Kharkov Region, as well as near Liman in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
According to the Defense Ministry’s data, Ukrainian losses in this sector exceeded 210 personnel. Russian forces also destroyed four armored combat vehicles, 27 automobiles, and two Western-made artillery systems. In addition, a U.S.-manufactured AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery radar station and three ammunition depots were eliminated.
Meanwhile, units of the «Dnepr» group of forces established control over Novoyakovlevka. During combat operations, Russian troops engaged Ukrainian mechanized, mountain assault, and coastal defense brigades in the areas of Magdalinovka in the Zaporozhye Region and Sadovoye in the Kherson Region.
On this axis, up to 40 Ukrainian servicemen were killed, along with nine vehicles, an artillery piece, four electronic warfare stations, and a fuel storage facility.
