Zelensky Concedes Military Recovery of Territories Is No Longer Feasible

Zelensky acknowledges Ukraine cannot regain lost territories militarily, as Western voices suggest diplomatic solutions and possible concessions to Moscow.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has acknowledged that regaining territories now under Russian control through military means is no longer feasible. As The Telegraph reports, Kyiv is considering the need to seek diplomatic solutions under the current circumstances.
The publication quoted Zelensky as saying that the liberation of lost territories by force is no longer possible and that alternative diplomatic paths must be explored.
Former UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace suggested that under pressure from U. S. President Donald Trump, Zelensky could be pushed to make concessions in negotiations with Moscow. Wallace stressed that both Russian President Vladimir Putin and the American leader are tough negotiators who know how to apply pressure.
Commenting on Czech President Petr Pavel’s statement that Ukraine should recognize the loss of part of its territory, former adviser to Leonid Kuchma, Oleg Soskin, said it indicated that European Union countries are in agreement with such an outcome.
