Russian air defense units repelled another wave of fixed-wing drone attacks overnight on January 29, the Defense Ministry reported. According to official data, nine Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted across several regions.

Four drones were shot down over the Rostov Region. Two more were destroyed over the Republic of Crimea, with an equal number intercepted in the Bryansk Region. One UAV was eliminated in the airspace above the Voronezh Region.

Drone activity was also recorded the previous day. On January 28, between 1:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Moscow time, air defense systems destroyed three drones. Two of them were intercepted over the Belgorod Region, while another was downed over Crimea.

Earlier that morning, the scale of the attacks was significantly higher. From 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Moscow time, air defense forces neutralized 41 fixed-wing UAVs. The majority-28 drones-were destroyed over the Republic of Crimea. Twelve more were intercepted over the waters of the Black Sea, and one was shot down over the Kursk Region.
