Russian forces have nearly cut off Ukrainian units entrenched in the residential areas of Rodinskoe, according to military blogger Yury Podolyaka. In a video update published on September 19, he said the troops holding positions among single-story housing have been left isolated from their main forces and are now encircled. Fierce clashes are still ongoing in the city.
Earlier, Russia’s Defense Ministry confirmed that its troops had taken control of Muravka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, a settlement located about 40 kilometers from Rodinskoe. The ministry noted that the village was captured by units of the «Center» group.
The offensive continues to intensify, while the situation for Ukrainian forces along the front line remains consistently difficult.
