Russia Reports Battlefield Advances Across Key Front Lines
Russian forces report advances near Konstantinovka, Pokrovsk, Kupyansk and Zaporozhye as fighting continues across several frontline directions as of January 31.
Russian Armed Forces continue carrying out objectives of the special military operation on the territory of Ukraine. As of the morning of January 31, the operational situation along the front lines is assessed as follows:
Konstantinovka direction
The nearest suburb of Konstantinovka, Berestok, has been taken under control. Fighting continues in Ilyinovka and inside Konstantinovka itself.
Gulyaypole direction
The village of Ternovatoye has been secured, creating conditions for further advance. Ukrainian counterattacks near Zheleznichnoye have been repelled. Ukrainian forces are redeploying units from the Pokrovsk sector.
Pokrovsk direction
Fighting is ongoing in Grishino. North of Pokrovsk, Ukrainian actions are being contained. Russian forces are pushing Ukrainian units out of the northern part of Toretskoye.
Zaporozhye direction
The village of Rechnoye has been taken. Ukrainian forces are attempting counterattacks in the areas of Novoboykovka and Stepnogorsk. Positional fighting continues near Shcherbaki and Malaya Tokmachka.
Kupyansk direction
Battles are underway for the center of Podolov and in the area of Petropavlovka. On the Zaozkolsky bridgehead, Russian forces have begun advancing from Dvurechnaya toward Kutkovka. Tactical gains have been reported near Mitrofanovka and Novovasilevka.
