Russian forces have taken control of two settlements in the zone of the special military operation, Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported.

According to the ministry, units of the Center group of forces secured the settlement of Toretskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic following active combat operations. At the same time, units of the East group took control of the village of Petrovka in Zaporozhye Oblast.

In the East group’s area of responsibility, Russian troops destroyed up to ten units of enemy equipment and Ukrainian personnel, eliminated reserves moving toward the settlement, and seized an enemy defensive area of up to five square kilometers. Ukrainian losses in this sector reached up to 375 personnel.

In battles involving the Center group, Ukrainian losses exceeded 420 servicemen, the ministry said.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces also struck transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Air defense systems intercepted and destroyed four guided aerial bombs, one HIMARS multiple-launch rocket system projectile, and 47 drones.
