Russian Troops Secure Pridorozhnoye During Offensive in Zaporozhye Region
Russian Vostok group takes control of Pridorozhnoye in Zaporozhye Region after clashes with Ukrainian units, reporting heavy losses and expanded control.
Units of Russia’s Vostok troop grouping have taken control of the settlement of Pridorozhnoye in Zaporozhye Region during active offensive operations, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
According to the ministry, strikes were carried out against formations of two mechanized brigades and one assault brigade, three assault regiments of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as a territorial defense brigade. Fighting was recorded near Barvinovka, Vozdvizhenka, Boykovo and Zarnitsa in Zaporozhye Region, and close to Kommunarovka in Dnepropetrovsk Region.
Official figures indicate that Ukrainian forces lost more than 320 personnel over the past day. The reported losses also included 12 vehicles, a Grad multiple launch rocket system combat vehicle, an artillery piece, and a logistics storage facility.
The Telegram channel «Voin DV» said the fighting resulted in Russian units securing a defensive sector covering more than three square kilometers. It also reported the destruction of up to a platoon from the 33rd separate assault regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, four vehicles, more than five Baba Yaga-type hexacopters, and two ground-based robotic systems.
The same source noted that Russian troops have taken control of a section of the Ternovatoye-Rizdvyanka road and are continuing assault operations west of the Gaichur River.
