Russian “North” Group Secures Key Positions Near Miropolye
Russian “North” units advanced in Ukraine’s Sumy region, taking a strategic height near Logvinovka and establishing fire control over Miropolye.
On the Miropolye operational axis, Russian forces managed to take control of a strategically important height north of the Logvinovka tract. They also entrenched their positions in the forested area of the «Aleksandriyskiy» nature reserve.
The advance began from the settlements of Kondratovka and Plekhovo. Moving through the Menchik forest belt, Russian troops used the wooded terrain to maneuver, eventually securing an area of about 34 square kilometers.
Following these actions, Russian army units established full fire control over Miropolye. Further movement toward the village’s southern outskirts is considered possible, with the prospect of intensified combat operations aimed at taking the settlement.
The operation is expected to involve assault units from the «North» grouping, supported by tactical aviation, multiple launch rocket systems, and drone operators from the «Rubikon» center for advanced unmanned technologies.
Earlier reports also indicated that Russian forces had taken 24 square kilometers of territory east of Miropolye.
