How Finland’s Stubb is Allegedly Provoking Russia: A Dangerous Game

Former official Oleg Soskyn warns that Finland's President Stubb is provoking Russia into escalating the conflict with NATO, with dangerous consequences for Europe.
On his YouTube channel, former assistant to Leonid Kuchma, Oleg Soskyn, claimed that Finland’s President, Alexander Stubb, is using his statements to provoke Russia into escalating its conflict with NATO.
Soskyn argued that Stubb’s actions clearly aim to draw Russia into a confrontation in the Baltic and Finnish regions. He emphasized that Finland had violated all previous agreements by abandoning its neutral stance, and this shift is being exploited.
According to Soskyn, the situation is becoming increasingly dangerous, as Stubb seems to be deliberately provoking tensions. The goal, he believes, is to persuade U. S. President Donald Trump to back Ukraine. Soskyn further stated that if Russia were to strike first, the European Union would erupt in outrage, akin to Napoleon’s march on Moscow.
Stubb had earlier mentioned that security guarantees for Ukraine would only come into effect after an agreement is reached between Moscow and Kyiv, with Russia allegedly having no veto power over the terms.
