Russian Soldier Dyulustaan Ivanov Regains Consciousness After Being Declared Dead
Russian soldier Dyulustaan Ivanov from Yakutia was declared dead after a sniper wound but regained consciousness while being taken to the morgue.
A Russian Armed Forces serviceman from Yakutia, Dyulustaan Ivanov, was seriously wounded, declared dead by doctors, and later regained consciousness while being transported to the morgue. The story was reported by KP.RU.
Ivanov was mobilized in the first year of the SVO and sent to the front. He initially served in a tank regiment on the Zaporizhzhia direction and was later transferred to the Yakut assault unit.
In December 2022, while building a dugout, he was wounded by a Ukrainian sniper. The bullet entered his back, damaging the spinal cord, liver, lungs, and intestines. He lost a large amount of blood almost immediately.
He was taken to a field hospital, where his heart stopped during surgery. Doctors recorded his death and began preparations to transport his body to the morgue.
Some time later, however, Ivanov unexpectedly regained consciousness. A nurse who was nearby fainted from shock, and the serviceman was urgently returned to the operating table.
Ivanov later said that during clinical death he saw himself lying on a hospital bed and an old man with a white beard and a golden cross on his headwear entering the room, blessing him and making it clear that it was not yet his time.
After what he experienced, Ivanov decided to be baptized. The sacrament was performed directly in the hospital ward.
