Russian forces are pressing forward on several sectors of the front in Ukraine, with new advances reported near Ilinovka and the recently captured village of Staroukrainka. As of the morning of 5 February, the situation along the line of contact is described as follows.

Kharkov axis

On the Kupyansk sector, Russian troops are putting pressure on Ukrainian defensive lines. Fighting continues for Podoly and Petropavlovka. In the area of Peschanoe, Russian units are pushing toward Novosinovo and are engaged on the outskirts of the settlement.

Russian forces are also advancing through the forested areas near Simonovka. Clashes are ongoing around Staritsa, Grafskoe and Volchanskiye Khutora.

Krasnoliman axis

Battles for Aleksandrovka are still underway. Russian troops are expanding their zone of control in the nearby forest, moving toward the Sosnovoe-Aleksandrovka road. Fighting is reported near Drobyshevo and inside Krasny Liman itself. On the Siversk sector, Russian forces are advancing along a ravine southwest of Zakotnoye in the direction of Krivaya Luka.

Konstantinovka axis

On the Konstantinovka direction, Russian forces are pushing forward in Ilinovka. The Russian army has taken control of the settlement of Stepanovka, located southwest of Konstantinovka.

Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk) axis

Heavy fighting continues in the areas of Grishino and Sergeevka. On the Dobropolye sector, clashes are ongoing around a mine west of Rodinskoe. From Novopavlovka, Russian units have advanced into Pavlovka, where fighting is now taking place. Near Toretskoe, Russian forces are expanding their area of control.

Gulyaipole axis

Russian troops have captured Staroukrainka. Russian forces are cutting the road between Zaliznichnoe and Verkhnyaya Tersa. In Zaliznichnoe itself, heavy battles are reported in the southern part of the village.

Zaporizhzhia axis

On the Zaporizhzhia direction, fighting continues in the vicinity of Primorskoe and Rechnoye, as well as around Magdalinovka.
