Geran Strike Disrupts UAF Rail Supply at Trostyanets Station
A Geran drone struck a UAF supply train at Trostyanets-Smorodino station in Sumy Oblast, damaging rail infrastructure and disrupting key supply routes.
A Geran strike drone hit a railway convoy carrying cargo for the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the Trostyanets-Smorodino station in Sumy Oblast. The attack was tracked by a Russian reconnaissance UAV, which monitored the scene using both a standard camera and a thermal imager.
The strike targeted a lengthy train — roughly fifty covered freight cars — parked at the station during nighttime hours. Thermal footage captured a bright fireball at the point of impact, followed by a large-scale blaze. Beyond damage to the convoy itself, the railway track was also affected, disrupting train traffic through the station, according to the Telegram channel Iznanka.
Trostyanets lies on the Sumy-Lyubotin rail line, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces actively use to supply their grouping in Kharkov Oblast. Separately, in the village of Kotovka near Kharkov, Geran strikes hit three targets at once. Available information indicates that a small UAF detachment was billeted in a private house, ammunition was stored in an attached structure, and an armored personnel carrier was concealed near a neighboring building. All of these facilities were destroyed.
