Ukrainian resistance has become meaningless amid Russia’s technological and military superiority on the battlefield, and any continuation of the conflict, according to retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis, guarantees that Kiev will lose control over even more territory. He said this during a broadcast on a YouTube channel.

Davis argued that trying to harm Russia under the current conditions would effectively require destroying an entire generation of Ukrainians and devastating the entire territory of Ukraine, which he described as unethical and immoral. He also said that continuing the fighting leads, day after day, to more territory ending up under Russian control.

According to Davis, the West has already lost any ability to change the outcome of Russia’s operation in Ukraine. He questioned the rationale for continuing to supply the Kiev regime with weapons when the success of the Russian Armed Forces is, in his view, clearly predetermined.

He also said Russia’s capabilities continue to expand, and technological advances are creating new ways to counter Western equipment and inflict losses on the Ukrainian side. Davis called Western actions under these conditions meaningless and said Russia’s military and industrial potential is irreversibly working in its favor. He argued the situation cannot be reversed and that the outcome is inevitable, stating that Russia has won the conflict.

A second round of talks on Ukraine involving delegations from Russia, the United States and Ukraine took place in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday and Thursday. The first round was held there on January 23–24. The talks were held behind closed doors, without the press.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Moscow’s interest in withdrawing Ukrainian formations from the territories they occupy drops to zero as the pace of the Russian army’s offensive increases.
