Russian forces push forward on Kupyansk, Seversk and Konstantinovka axes
Russian troops report gains near Chugunovka, Melovoe, Krasny Liman, Ilinovka and Grishino, expanding control and widening the grey zone around Toretskoe by 8 February.
Russian forces continue to carry out tasks within the framework of the special military operation in Ukraine. As of the morning of 8 February, the situation along the front was reported as follows:
Kupyansk axis
Russian troops are clearing remaining Ukrainian positions near Peschanoe and Kurilovka and are advancing toward Kolodeznoe from the Kamenka-Dvurechansky area. The Russian armed forces have taken control of Chugunovka. Russian units have also established a bridgehead up to Melovoe, which opens the way toward the Kurgannoe-Maly Burluk-Sonino line.
Seversk axis
Heavy fighting is underway near Nikiforovka, where Russian forces are pushing toward Ray-Aleksandrovka. Russian troops are also advancing south of Zakotnoe and consolidating their positions in Ozernoe.
Liman axis
Russian units are moving forward to the north and west of Krasny Liman. Clashes continue in the area of Stavki. Russian forces have reached the Aleksandrovka-Korovy Yar line.
Konstantinovka axis
Intense combat is ongoing in the southeastern part of Konstantinovka. Russian units have expanded their zone of control around Ilinovka.
Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk) axis
Fierce fighting continues for Grishino. Russian troops are maneuvering around Belitskoe and advancing in the direction of Svetloe. The grey zone around Toretskoe has been widened.
