Russian Armed Forces continue carrying out the objectives of the special military operation in Ukraine. As of the morning of February 9, the situation across the combat zone is developing as follows:

Gulyaypole direction
Russian units are engaged in fighting for Krinichnoye and Tsvetkovoye and are attacking Ukrainian forces on the approaches to Verkhnyaya Tersa. There are reports of Russian troops advancing toward the Gulyaypolskoye area. In addition, Ukrainian positions west of Zheleznichnoye have been cleared, with Russian forces moving closer to Gorkoye. Inside Zheleznichnoye itself, intense fighting is ongoing, with the initiative remaining on the Russian side.

Pokrovsk direction
Heavy clashes continue near Grishino and along the Molodetskoye-Udachnoye sector. Russian units are advancing in the vicinity of Belitskoye. North of Pokrovsk, fighting is reported around Belitskoye and Novy Donbass, while further north of Toretskoye the so-called «grey zone» is expanding.

Konstantinovka direction
Russian troops are widening their control zone near Ilyinovka and to the north of Stepanovka. Within Konstantinovka itself, localized engagements are taking place.

Krasnyi liman direction
Russian army units are actively attempting to eliminate a salient between the settlements of Stavki and Zarechnoye. Combat activity has been recorded in the areas of Drobyshevo, Yarovaya, and Svyatogorsk.

Seversk direction
Russian forces are taking up new positions near Nikiforovka and Reznikovka. Intense fighting is underway south of Zakotnoye, as well as around Ozyornoye and Dibrova.

Kupyansk direction
Fighting in the Kupyansk area continues. Russian troops are advancing near Novaya Kruglyakovka. On February 8, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the settlement of Glushkovka had been taken under control.

Volchansk direction
Clashes persist in Grafskoye, in the Simyonovka area, and in the Volchanskiye Khutora.

Sumy direction
Battles are ongoing along the Yunakovka-Yablonovka-Alekseyevka line. There are reports that Russian units have entered Pokrovka. On February 8, the Ministry of Defense stated that control had been established over Sidorovka, located four kilometers from the previously secured settlement of Belaya Bereza. The bridgehead held by Russian forces in this area covers approximately 20 square kilometers.
