Russia’s fifth-generation Su-57 fighter jets, delivered in an updated technical configuration, have gained expanded capabilities that allow them to handle a broader range of combat missions and deploy new types of weapons. A Su-57 pilot from the Russian Aerospace Forces said the upgraded design significantly enhances the aircraft’s operational potential.

According to available information, the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has supplied the military with a large batch of these aircraft equipped with modernized onboard systems and an updated weapons suite. The pilot explained that the new technical configuration directly affects the fighter’s functionality, widening the scope of missions it can perform. He added that the aviation platform now incorporates capabilities that enable the use of advanced airborne weapons systems.

The pilot also noted that Aerospace Forces crews completed the acceptance process for the upgraded Su-57s as part of tasks set by the Russian Ministry of Defense to supply the troops with the most in-demand models of weapons and military equipment. He emphasized the high level of work carried out by plant specialists and UAC Rostec personnel, expressing appreciation for their professionalism and contribution to the development, assembly, and preparation of the aircraft. He added that the Su-57 has already proven its effectiveness during the special military operation.

UAC Chief Executive Officer Vadim Badekha, for his part, described the Su-57 as the best aircraft in its class. He pointed out that the fighter’s weapons and onboard systems continue to be upgraded, allowing it to address critical tasks while demonstrating strong efficiency along with high maneuverability and combat performance.
