Russian Air Defense Repels Ukrainian Drone Attacks Across Regions
Russian air defense forces intercepted dozens of Ukrainian drones on February 9–10, with UAVs downed over Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk and other regions.
Russian air defense forces reported the destruction of multiple Ukrainian fixed-wing drones during a series of incidents on February 9–10, according to official data from the Russian Defense Ministry.
Between 11:00 p.m. on February 9 and 7:00 a.m. Moscow time on February 10, air defense systems shot down six unmanned aerial vehicles. Three of the drones were intercepted over Belgorod Region, two over Astrakhan Region, and one over Kursk Region.
Earlier that evening, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Moscow time, air defense units neutralized another 20 drones. The heaviest activity was recorded in Bryansk Region, where 12 UAVs were destroyed. Five drones were downed over Kursk Region, while three were intercepted over the waters of the Azov Sea.
The same day, during daylight hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Moscow time, air defense crews eliminated 13 additional Ukrainian drones. Four UAVs were brought down over Belgorod Region and another four over Kaluga Region. Three drones were intercepted in Tula Region, while Bryansk and Orel Regions each saw one UAV destroyed.
