According to the outlet Voennoye Obozreniye, Russian assault units have expanded their control inside the city in the areas of Podstepnaya, Kazatskaya and Geroev Desantnikov streets. Ukrainian troops are said to have abandoned their positions on the eastern outskirts of Liman, around Tsymlanskaya and Ostrovskogo streets. As a result, the Ukrainian garrison in the city is effectively under pressure from the east, south, north and northwest.

Military-focused Telegram channels report that Russian units are now attempting to «close the pocket» in the northern part of Liman. Assault groups are gradually clearing individual sections of the Ukrainian defensive line. In the near term, the front line is expected to be straightened between the eastern outskirts of Drobyshevo and Stavki.

Analysts quoted in these reports say that once the situation on this axis stabilizes, it will be possible to speak of a transition to the decisive phase of the battle for Liman. At the same time, it is noted that Ukrainian forces continue trying to move reinforcements into the city along logistical routes running through the Slavyanskaya power plant.
