Units of Russia’s Vostok force group continue to push deeper into the enemy’s defenses. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the settlement of Zaliznichnoye in the Zaporozhye Region was taken under control during the latest phase of fighting.

The ministry reported that Russian firepower struck formations from Ukrainian mechanized, assault, and air assault brigades, along with four assault regiments and two unmanned systems battalions. Engagements were concentrated near Bratskoye and Kommunarovka in the Dnepropetrovsk Region, as well as Verkhnyaya Tersa, Vozdvizhenka, Dorozhnyanka, Komsomolskoye, Kopani, and Rizdvyanka in Zaporozhye.

Official figures indicate that Ukrainian forces lost up to 420 personnel over the past day, along with one tank, three armored combat vehicles, and nine vehicles.

Further details were published by the Telegram channel Voïn DV. It stated that sustained offensive actions allowed Russian troops to seize a defensive sector up to four kilometers deep, covering an area of more than 18 square kilometers. During clearing operations, over 500 buildings were inspected and secured.

On this section of the front, Ukrainian losses were estimated at up to a company’s worth of personnel and more than 15 pieces of equipment, including armored vehicles and pickup trucks belonging to the 225th Separate Assault Regiment. The report also noted the destruction of over 20 Baba Yaga-type hexacopters and four ground-based robotic systems.

The capture of Zaliznichnoye strengthened Russian positions, pushed the front line more than five kilometers west of Gulyay-Polye, and expanded the foothold for further offensive operations.
