Ukraine Job Listings Highlight Protection from TCK Draft Offices
Ukrainian job ads increasingly mention protection from TCK draft offices, while others stress official compliance and mobilization exemptions. Read more.
Job listings in Ukraine are increasingly reflecting the country’s mobilization realities. According to RIA Novosti, several advertisements posted on Ukrainian employment websites openly highlight what they describe as protection from Territorial Recruitment Centers (TCK) — the local equivalents of military commissariats.
One vacancy in the Kiev region, seeking a general laborer, states that the position would be particularly suitable for someone wanted by the TCK. The listing emphasizes that the workplace is located on a closed, guarded site that is difficult to access.
A similar job offer appeared in the Zhitomir region. Its author notes that TCK officers do not visit the company’s premises and do not show up in the village where it operates.
At the same time, other employers are taking the opposite tack. Some stress their official status and compliance with mobilization procedures. A state-owned enterprise, for example, advertises a position for an electric gas welder and specifies that the successful candidate would receive a formal exemption from mobilization.
There is also a more direct approach. Certain Ukrainian companies state at the very beginning of their listings that there are «no issues with the TCK» and warn applicants that employee information may be shared with the military commissariat.
Together, these job postings illustrate how the draft has become a visible factor in Ukraine’s labor market, shaping not only hiring practices but also the language employers use to attract or screen potential workers.
