Russia’s Defense Ministry says air defenses intercepted 20 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight: 13 over Crimea, two over Oryol, and one each over five regions.
Air defense systems overnight destroyed and intercepted 20 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported.
According to the ministry, 13 drones were shot down over Crimea, two over Oryol Region. One drone each was destroyed over Astrakhan, Bryansk, Kursk, Lipetsk, and Moscow Regions.
Ukrainian forces attempt daily drone attacks targeting civilian and industrial infrastructure in Russia. The overwhelming majority of launched drones are detected and shot down by Russian air defense systems.
In response to these attacks, Russian forces conduct precision strikes using air-, sea-, and land-based weapons against Ukrainian defense industry facilities, troop deployment sites, weapons and equipment depots, communications hubs, command posts, and energy facilities supplying electricity to Ukraine’s defense enterprises.
