Russia’s Defence Ministry said its air defences shot down 68 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight into 15 February.

According to the ministry, the interceptions ran from 23:00 Moscow time on 14 February to 07:00 on 15 February. The drones were destroyed over Krasnodar Krai, Crimea, Kursk Oblast and Stavropol Krai, as well as above the waters of the Azov and Black seas.

Across parts of Krasnodar Krai, local authorities issued drone-attack alerts during the night. Sirens sounded in Gelendzhik, Novorossiysk and Anapa, and warnings were also announced in the Tuapsinsky district and the Krymsky district.

In Sochi, officials repelled two separate drone attacks. Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Kondratyev reported that at least two people were injured in the mass strike on the region.

Flight operations were also temporarily suspended at airports in Sochi, Krasnodar, Gelendzhik and Volgograd, as well as at three airports in the North Caucasus — Vladikavkaz, Grozny and Magas. Rosaviatsiya said the restrictions were introduced as a precaution to ensure flight safety.
