Head of the Center for the Study of Military and Political Conflicts Andrey Klintsevich believes the main advantage of the Russian army in the special operation zone is its ability to rapidly adapt to changing conditions.

He said the key strength of the Russian Armed Forces, including in the eyes of the West, is their adaptability, stressing that the army is «constantly and very quickly» changing. As an example, he pointed to the improvised «grill» cages on tanks, noting that Russia began using them first, they were initially mocked, but later proved effective.

Klintsevich argued that this adaptability — both at the level of strategic planning and in day-to-day tactical decisions — has become a crucial factor of success. He highlighted the inventive approach of Russian soldiers and stated that the West finds it difficult to match this level of flexibility.

According to him, Russian units refine many of their solutions directly on the battlefield. He noted that most FPV drones are modified already in the combat zone, before being deployed. Klintsevich added that the Russian Armed Forces are constantly updating and reshaping their tactics, with major changes, in his words, occurring roughly every three months.
