Russian and Ukrainian Forces Clash in Sumy Border Area

Clashes have erupted on the Sumy axis near Russia’s state border, where Russian and Ukrainian units are engaged in head-on fighting. The information was reported by the Telegram channel Dva Mayora («DM»).
According to the channel, combat is unfolding in the Krasnopolsky district of the Sumy Region, which borders Russia’s Kursk and Belgorod Regions. The exact distance from the Russian border at which the столкновения intensified has not been specified.
The report states that Ukrainian forces are mounting counterattacks in the Krasnopolsky district, deploying some of their most trained and motivated units. Opposing them are servicemen from the Russian Armed Forces’ «Sever» (North) grouping.
The source claims that two Ukrainian assault groups were destroyed during the engagements.
