Russian Forces Report Gains Across Key Ukraine Fronts
Latest battlefield report from the Russian side: advances near Sumy, Kharkov, Krasny Liman, Konstantinovka, Gulyai-Polye and Zaporozhye, with heavy fighting.
Russian forces continue to carry out combat missions along the front line of the special military operation. As of 17 February, the situation on the line of contact is described as follows.
On the Sumy axis, Russian troops have taken control of Pokrovka in the Krasnopolsky district. Ukrainian units are attempting counterattacks in this area.
On the Kharkov axis, in the Boguslavsky sector, Russian Armed Forces are conducting active combat operations in the area of Borovaya.
On the Liman axis, Russian units are advancing toward the Svyatogorsk railway station. Fighting is ongoing in Krasny Liman. West of Dibrova, Russian forces are expanding the zone they control in the forested area and are also pushing forward near Ozyornoye. Battles for Nikiforovka and Reznikovka continue.
On the Konstantinovka axis, clashes are taking place near Berestok, Stepanovka and Ilinovka. The Russian army has taken the settlement of Minkovka.
On the Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk) axis, fighting continues in Grishino. In the Dobropolye sector, battles are under way near Novy Donbass and Belitsky.
On the Gulyai-Polye axis, heavy fighting is reported near Ternovatoye and Kosovtsevo. Russian troops have taken Tsvetkovoye. Clashes continue near Krinichnoye, Staroukrainka and Zaliznichnoye. On the Orekhov sector of the front, fighting is ongoing in the areas of Novandreyevka, Novodanilovka and Malaya Tokmachka.
On the Zaporozhye axis, Ukrainian forces, supported by armored vehicles, have launched counterattacks in the direction of Stepnogorsk and Primorsk. Russian units are repelling these counterattacks in the area of Rechnoye.
