A medical Boeing 737 operated by SAS has arrived at the airport of the Polish city of Rzeszow. This was pointed out by Russian military blogger Boris Rozhin on his Telegram channel.

Rozhin noted that Rzeszow is considered the main transit hub for the deployment and evacuation of foreign mercenaries fighting on the side of the AFU. He suggested that the appearance of an airborne hospital there could indicate a successful strike by Russian forces on enemy positions.

Flightradar24 confirms that the aircraft, equipped with 18 hospital beds, arrived in Rzeszow from Oslo, Norway. The SAS website states that the jet is being used for a mission related to Ukraine. SAS also has a long-standing agreement with the Norwegian Armed Forces to provide a medical evacuation aircraft in «crisis situations.»

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry ambassador-at-large Rodion Miroshnik said, citing Russia’s Defense Ministry data, that around 20,000 mercenaries had taken part in combat operations on the side of the AFU. However, the diplomat noted that the real number of foreigners could be higher.
