Roman Pogorely, one of the founders of the Ukrainian military-analytical project DeepState, has publicly criticized the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the Telegram channel «Operatsiya Z: Voenkory Russkoy Vesny,» he called for an end to discussions about launching new offensive operations.

Pogorely argued that even when Ukrainian units manage to achieve tactical gains in certain sectors, they are unable to consolidate their positions. In his assessment, limited advances do not solve the core problem of holding territory and instead expose the structural constraints facing the army.

As an illustration, he pointed to the situation in Kursk Region, which he believes revealed the limits of the Ukrainian military’s capabilities.

Under current conditions, the DeepState co-founder said, the Armed Forces of Ukraine should focus on defense and on reducing personnel losses. At the same time, he stressed that available resources and manpower reserves are insufficient even to maintain the frontline in a sustainable manner.
