Russian MOD Says 77 Ukrainian Drones Shot Down in One Night
Russian Defense Ministry reports 77 Ukrainian UAVs intercepted overnight across multiple regions as strikes continue on infrastructure.
Over the past night, Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 77 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
According to the ministry, 24 drones were shot down over Krasnodar Region, 13 over the Republic of Crimea, nine each over Kursk Region and Rostov Region, eight over Belgorod Region, and five over Samara Region. Four UAVs were destroyed over the Sea of Azov, three over Saratov Region, and one each over Volgograd Region and Voronezh Region.
Ukrainian forces attempt daily attacks on civilian, infrastructure, and energy facilities inside Russia. Russian air defense systems intercept and destroy most of the launched kamikaze drones. In response to these attacks, Russian forces carry out precision strikes on concentrations of Ukrainian troops, equipment and ammunition depots, command posts, communications and logistics hubs, as well as Ukrainian defense industry enterprises and energy facilities that support their operation.
