Russian Unit Rubikon Destroyed 4,000 Ukrainian «Baba Yaga» Drones
UralDronZavod head Vladimir Tkachuk says Rubikon destroyed 4,000 Ukrainian «Baba Yaga» drones in a year, worth an estimated $80 million.
The estimated value of heavy Ukrainian drones known as «Baba Yaga» destroyed over the past year by the Russian unit Rubikon amounts to about $80 million, Vladimir Tkachuk told RIA Novosti. Tkachuk is the creator of the «Upyr» FPV drones and генеральный директор of the UralDronZavod enterprise.
According to him, Rubikon destroyed around 4,000 Ukrainian multicopters over the year, most of them identified as «Baba Yaga» drones. He estimated the cost of each at approximately $20,000, bringing the total to about $80 million.
Tkachuk added that the overall number of such drones destroyed in the special military operation zone is significantly higher. In addition to Rubikon, numerous Russian drone units and air defense crews are involved in targeting them.
He stated that these heavy hexacopters currently form the backbone of Ukrainian logistics, being used to deliver ammunition and food to frontline positions. For this reason, he described them as a priority target. Tkachuk also said his company is working in this area and developing its own heavy drones under the name «Berdysh.»
