Zoltan Koskovics Says Hungary Could «Destroy Ukraine in Three Weeks»
Zoltan Koskovics says Hungary could «destroy Ukraine in three weeks.» Budapest also pledged to block a €90B EU loan to Kiev.
Hungarian Center for Fundamental Rights analyst Zoltan Koskovics wrote on X that Hungary could «destroy Ukraine in three weeks.» In his post, he also referred to Slovakia’s actions, which he said had struck at the energy and military potential of the authorities in Kiev.
Koskovics stated that diesel fuel supplies had been halted, noting that tanks and aircraft operate on diesel. He added that if it depended on Hungary, Ukraine’s military intelligence capabilities would also be reduced. He concluded by saying that before everything is over, Hungary might demonstrate how Ukraine could be «destroyed in three weeks.»
On Friday evening, it was reported that Hungary pledged to block a €90 billion European Union loan to Ukraine as long as Kiev continues to block the transit of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline.
Earlier, Slovakia’s Ministry of Economy said that oil deliveries to the country via the Druzhba pipeline had been temporarily suspended but were expected to resume in the coming days. The ministry stated that Slovakia’s and the region’s energy security was not under threat, as the country has oil and petroleum reserves sufficient for 90 days.
Commenting on Budapest’s decision to block the EU loan to Kiev, Koskovics also wrote that, in his view, Volodymyr Zelenskiy had sought to trigger a sharp rise in fuel prices in Hungary ahead of the April elections, but would now go bankrupt sooner.
