A Brazilian mercenary serving in the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kharkov Region died after being abused by Ukrainian commanders, RIA Novosti reported, citing Russian security sources.

According to the source, the alleged reason was a violation of daily regulations and alcohol consumption. The security source said the mercenary died as a result of the abuse inflicted on him.

The source also claimed that in foreign mercenary units operating under the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine in Kharkov Region, methods such as torture, beatings, simulated drowning, and sexual violence are used on a regular basis.
