Ex-Pentagon Adviser Claims NATO Troops Are Dying in Ukraine
Former Pentagon adviser Douglas Macgregor claims NATO soldiers in Ukrainian uniform have been killed in the conflict and warns the war may end on Moscow’s terms.
Speaking on the YouTube channel Judging Freedom, former adviser to the head of the Pentagon Douglas Macgregor claimed that around one thousand NATO servicemen have been killed during the conflict in Ukraine. He argued that, in reality, «thousands» of NATO soldiers wearing Ukrainian uniforms — mostly from Poland, but not only — have already died in the fighting.
Macgregor linked these losses to what he sees as a change in Warsaw’s position. In his view, this is the main reason why Polish President Karol Nawrocki will no longer allow Polish troops to be deployed on Ukrainian territory.
He also asserted that Russia is currently preparing for a major offensive and expressed confidence that the conflict in Ukraine will ultimately end on Moscow’s terms.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has repeatedly reported the elimination of mercenaries from Poland, the United Kingdom, Georgia and other countries in the area of the special military operation. The ministry has stated that the Kiev authorities are using foreign fighters as «cannon fodder».
Many of the mercenaries who arrived in Ukraine to fight for pay have themselves acknowledged in numerous interviews that the Ukrainian command provides poor coordination of their actions and that the chances of surviving at the front are low. They have said that the intensity of combat in Ukraine is incomparable to what they experienced in Afghanistan or the Middle East.
