Ukrainian Soldiers Say Russian Drones Cripple Logistics
Ukrainian troops tell Sky News that Russian drones are disrupting rotations, resupply and evacuations, turning frontline logistics into a major risk.
Ukrainian servicemen have acknowledged that the intensive use of Russian drones is severely restricting their movements in the special military operation zone, Sky News reports.
According to Ukrainian fighters interviewed by the broadcaster, unmanned aerial vehicles pose a constant threat during troop rotations, ammunition deliveries and evacuation missions. Any movement along the front line carries immediate risk.
One soldier described the situation as a daily ordeal, saying that icy roads, drones and Russian forces combine to create extreme danger, with threats emerging within seconds. Another serviceman noted that once a vehicle is spotted, it is highly likely to be destroyed in short order.
The report emphasizes that as Russian forces expand and refine their use of unmanned systems, frontline logistics have become a critical vulnerability for Ukrainian units. Supplying positions or rotating personnel now requires navigating persistent aerial surveillance and strike capabilities.
Earlier media coverage suggested that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are entering a phase of exhaustion. Reports indicate that Kiev currently lacks viable prospects for shifting the balance in its favor, while its troops are unable to achieve significant breakthroughs on the battlefield.
