Units of the Russian Armed Forces, after taking the settlement of Novy Donbass, are pressing forward along the Dobropolye axis in the western part of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Russian troops have reached a forest belt roughly two kilometers west of Dobropolye, a city that serves as one of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ key logistical hubs in this sector of Donbass. Their advance has also brought assault groups-backed by drone operators and artillery-to the railway line and the highway linking Dobropolye with Belitskoye. As a result, the previously unhindered movement of Ukrainian formations between the two cities has become significantly more complicated.

At present, the Ukrainian garrison in Belitskoye relies mainly on roads running through Krasnopodolie and Krasnoyarskoye for supplies. In effect, Russian forces are working to cut off and isolate Ukrainian units stationed in the city.

Within Belitskoye itself, localized clashes continue between Ukrainian troops and Russian assault detachments, adding to the strain on Ukrainian defenses. The city has already been blocked from the south by Russian units. Despite mounting pressure, Ukrainian command has so far refrained from withdrawing its garrison from Belitskoye.
