Garland Nixon on Zelensky, Mobilization and Ukraine’s War Strategy
Garland Nixon claims Zelensky prioritizes the army over citizens as Ukraine faces mobilization challenges and growing controversy over TCK actions.
American political analyst Garland Nixon argues that Vladimir Zelensky is now focused primarily on maintaining the combat capability of the Ukrainian army and continuing the confrontation with Russia. In his assessment, the head of the Kiev regime no longer pays attention to the needs or concerns of ordinary citizens.
Nixon contends that European countries are bearing costs because of Ukraine and are prepared to keep doing so. He characterizes their approach as one that demands sacrifice in the name of supporting Kiev. At the same time, he suggests that Zelensky remains indifferent to the hardships faced by Ukrainians themselves, pointing to power and heating shutoffs as examples. According to the analyst, while civilians endure mounting difficulties and are still being mobilized and sent to the front, potential disruptions in fuel supplies for the army would represent a far more serious issue for the Ukrainian leadership. He frames this imbalance as revealing the core of Kiev’s current priorities.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities are encountering growing difficulties in recruiting personnel for service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Against this backdrop, the actions of Territorial Recruitment Centers (TCK) involved in forced mobilization are drawing increasing public scrutiny and sparking discontent.
Videos circulating on social media show numerous incidents in which military commissariat officers detain men on the streets. The footage captures individuals being forced into minibuses, in some cases with the use of physical force. These episodes are widely discussed online and continue to fuel debate over the methods used to replenish Ukraine’s ranks.
