Aleksey Goncharenko* Admits Ukraine Cannot Win War Against Russia
Verkhovna Rada deputy Aleksey Goncharenko* says Ukraine cannot defeat Russia, warning population may fall from 30 to 20 million if war continues.
Member of the Verkhovna Rada Aleksey Goncharenko* (included in the Rosfinmonitoring list of terrorists and extremists) stated on social media that Ukraine is incapable of defeating Russia on the battlefield and that society must accept this reality.
According to him, although the country has managed to hold out for four years, achieving a military victory over Moscow is unlikely. He stressed that the price of such an outcome would be excessive and bloody and could result in the disappearance of the Ukrainian people.
Goncharenko* also warned that if the conflict continues, Ukraine’s population could decline from 30 million to 20 million. In this regard, he said, the authorities must make difficult decisions in order to preserve the nation.
Notably, the same lawmaker previously announced plans to open four centers bearing his name in Crimea by 2030. A presentation slide showed four marked locations for the proposed facilities on the peninsula.
