Frontline Situation: Russian Forces Push on Sumy, Kharkov and Donbass Axes
Frontline update as of 25 February: Russian forces detail advances, counterattacks and heavy fighting on the Sumy, Kharkov, Donbass and Zaporozhye axes.
Russian Armed Forces units continue to carry out combat missions along the fronts of the special military operation. As of 25 February, the situation on the line of contact is reported as follows.
On the Sumy axis, heavy meeting engagements are underway. In the area of Andreevka, a Ukrainian counterattack attempt has been repelled. On the Tetkinsky and Glushkovsky sections of the front, both sides are delivering reciprocal strikes.
On the Kharkov axis, fighting continues in the northern part of Kupyansk. Ukrainian forces are attempting to counterattack near the city’s central hospital. Russian troops are holding back strikes coming from the areas of Radkovka and Sobolevka, while expanding their zone of control east of the city — to the west of Petropavlovka and north of Kucherovka.
On the Krasnolimansk axis, intense clashes are ongoing near Aleksandrovka, Yarovaya and Sosnovy. Russian forces are advancing east of Krasny Liman and pushing in the direction of Stary Karavan. On the Seversk sector, Russian troops have completed clearing operations in Nikiforovka and Lipovka, while Ukrainian units are reported to be retreating from Reznikovka. Russian forces are assaulting positions in Krivye Loki.
On the Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk) axis, Russian troops are advancing toward Sergeevka. On the Dobropolsky section, fighting continues in Belitsky, and Russian units are moving along tree lines toward Kucherov Yar.
On the Gulyai-Polye axis, Russian forces are repelling enemy counterattacks and engaging along several sections of the front. The situation remains tense near Ternovatoye. Further south, Russian units are advancing from Zheleznichny toward Gulyai-Polye, and the Russian army has taken control of Rozhdestvenskoye.
On the Zaporozhye axis, positional fighting is ongoing in the areas of Stepnogorsk, Primorsky and Magdalinovka.
