According to military correspondent Yuri Kotenok, Russian troops have broken through toward the villages of Malaya Korchakovka and Khrapovshchina on the Sumy axis.

He reported that assault units had advanced to Malaya Korchakovka from the areas of Alekseevka and Andreevka, and to Khrapovshchina from the direction of Yablonovka. Kotenok added that fighting is also underway on the northeastern approaches to the village of Kondratovka, located west of Andreevka. In his assessment, the advance of Russian forces toward the Ukrainian defensive line running through Sadki, Khrapovshchina and Khoten has seriously worsened the position of Ukrainian troops on this sector of the front.

Kotenok also stated that Russian units are continuing to move forward on the Krasnopolsky and Glukhovsky axes in Sumy Region. He described the Glukhov section of the front as effectively a Kiev direction, noting that this is where the distance to the Ukrainian capital is shortest. Progress in this area, he argued, creates a threat of Russian forces reaching the rear of the Ukrainian grouping near Chernigov.

Military Telegram channels report that heavy fighting continues on the Sumy axis. Russian forces are using heavy weapons to support their assault groups. In the Andreevka area, a Ukrainian counterattack attempt was repelled the previous day.
