Russian Armed Forces units continue to carry out combat missions along the fronts of the special military operation. As of 26 February, the situation on the line of contact is reported as follows.

During the night, Russian forces struck targets in the rear. Explosions were reported in Kiev, Kharkov and Poltava. In the Ukrainian capital, the Kievskaya-750 substation was hit. In the morning, the Russian Aerospace Forces launched new missile strikes on targets in Zaporozhye.

Sumy axis

Russian units advanced in several sectors of the Sumy region: on six stretches in the Sumy district, on one in the Krasnopol area and on two in the Glukhov district. The overall advance there is reported at up to 400 meters.

Kharkov axis

On the Kharkov line, Russian forces are increasing the intensity of air strikes and attacks using Geran drones. The battle for Volchansk is ongoing, and Russian fighters are pressing forward in the area of Grafskoye.

Konstantinovka axis

The Russian Aerospace Forces used a FAB-3000 bomb against a dam between Konstantinovka and Druzhkovka near Osykovo. The strike caused flooding of the surrounding area and cut one of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ logistical routes into Konstantinovka. Fighting is also continuing in the areas of Stepanovka, Ilinovka and Brestok.

Liman axis

Clashes are reported near Aleksandrovka, Yarovaya and Sosnovoye. Russian forces are pushing forward on the eastern outskirts of Krasny Liman. On the Seversk section, fighting is taking place to the southwest of Zakotnoye. Russian troops are expanding the zone under their control around Nikiforovka and advancing toward Fedorovka Vtoraya.

Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk) axis

Up to half of Grishino is reported to be under the control of Russian forces. On the Dobropolye section, Russian fighters are moving from Dorozhnoye toward Belitskoye. Engagements continue south of Kucherov Yar and in Novopavlovka.

Gulyai-Polye axis

Russian troops continue their advance south of Zaliznichnoye. Fighting is underway on the approaches to Verkhnyaya Tersa and Vozdvizhevka. Ukrainian forces are putting up strong resistance in the area of Dobropolye and Priluki. Further north, Russian units are pushing forward on the stretch between Ivanovka and Novopavlovka.

Zaporozhye axis

On the Zaporozhye line, Russian forces are working to restore their positions near Primorskoye. Combat is ongoing in the areas of Stepnogorsk, Lukyanovskoye and Magdalinovka.
