Explosions rocked Kiev in the early hours of February 26. According to underground sources, the strikes involved Iskander and Zircon missiles.

Speaking to aif.ru, Hero of Russia and Major General Sergey Lipovoy outlined what may have been targeted. He said Russian forces continue to hit infrastructure used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). These, he specified, are dual-use facilities — power plants, warehouses and railway logistics hubs.

Such sites, Lipovoy explained, play a key role in sustaining Ukrainian troops. Western weapons shipments pass through them, units and ammunition are redeployed along these routes, and personnel rotations are organized there. He stressed that once facilities linked to supporting the AFU are identified, they are struck without delay.

According to the general, the attacks on facilities in Kiev were intended to reduce the military capabilities of the AFU and, as a result, hasten the end of hostilities.

Sergey Lebedev, coordinator of the Nikolaev underground, reported that the strikes hit CHPP-6, the 750 kV «Kiev» substation, and a site near Fastov, described as a major railway junction.
